Wiebe D.C. Derksen graduated in 2010 from University of Groningen Dental school (Cum Laude). In 2015 he completed the 3-year postgraduate program “Oral Implantology and Implant Prosthodontics” at ACTA (Academic Center of Dentistry Amsterdam – Prof. Wismeijer). He is co-author of the 5th ITI-Consensus Review on Computer Guided Surgery, and was recipient of the ITI-Clinical Research Grant in 2013, for his PhD project at ACTA on the digitalization in implant dentistry at present entering its final phase. In the 3M European Talent Award 2015, he was 1st Price winner in the category: Scientific Research. His expertise and research focuses on guided surgery, intra-oral scanning, abutment choices, CAD/CAM and chairside (implant) restorations. He is an international lecturer in the field of digital implant dentistry. He is in the process of taking over his father’s private practice Rijnzigt in the city of Arnhem.
